Oracle Group was asked to plan an event for Countryside and L&Q’s Beaulieu development in Chelmsford, Essex to bring together the new community. Beaulieu will deliver up to 3,600 new homes within a series of distinctly designed neighbourhoods linked by extensive open spaces and landscaping, accompanied by an extensive range of community facilities.
As part of an ongoing PR campaign to engage residents and the wider community, Oracle organised a Summer Fete at Beaulieu. Over 200 residents, local organisations and businesses came together for the event, which included a traditional BBQ, fun food cart, ice cream stall, games, funfair stalls and music.
Through previous events held at Beaulieu, Oracle has established a good relationship between Countryside and Galvin, the restaurants run by the only English brothers to receive a Michelin star. At the Summer Fete, Oracle organised for Galvin to host a mini ‘pop up’ version of their new Chelmsford restaurant ‘The Green Man’, offering guests complimentary nibbles. Residents were also invited to take part in a ‘Great British Bake Off’ style competition, which was judged by Countryside and the Galvin chefs on the day.
The event was a fantastic success, so much so that Countryside is now keen for Oracle’s help in hosting regular community events.
