In 2015 Oracle Group was asked to organise the Christmas event at Greenwich Millennium Village (GMV), a joint venture development by Countryside and Taylor Wimpey in association with the Mayor of London, for the third year running. Part of an ongoing local PR campaign to engage residents and the wider community, the event was a way to celebrate the festive season and make the most of the unique community facilities.
Over 300 local people came together for a Christmas carol concert by the local primary school, with local children invited to meet Santa and his reindeer and take part in traditional fairground games and rides. The team also organised a Christmas card design competition with Millennium Primary School ahead of the event and three children were presented with gift vouchers and certificates.
Oracle also arranged for the square to be festively decorated, organised guest refreshments guests and Christmas cooking demonstrations, and a raffle to win Christmas in your new home.
The event was, as always, a stunning success and has now become a firm community favourite running annually.
