Over the last quarter or so, it’s been logo-a-go-go at The Oracle Group, taking on three new brand projects, for three unique clients.
Property developers Beyond the Box approached us with a very exciting brief; to help bring their rather unusual company name to life, with a big push to the student accommodation sector. Only recently established, Beyond the Box had a fairly traditional and simple logo when they approached us for help. This allowed us to let our imaginations run riot with colour pallets, iconography, typography and straplines. After holding a workshop to get under the skin of their brand values and where they wanted to be positioned in the marketplace, we presented them with a range of modern and eye-catching options – each one of them ‘beyond the box’.
A bold colour palette of blue and pink was chosen – simply because they wanted something unexpected, to break away from the typical style of traditional branding often seen in the property development sector. We created a clever mirrored icon with the BtB initials. We’ve also rolled the logo out across the website, t-shirts, brochures and student packs.
To launch its Land and New Homes division, the team at Endeavour asked The Oracle Group to help them create a new brand identity for the business, as well as for its first development in Tunbridge Wells. The new ID was to be applied across a new website, business cards, a development brochure and other marketing collateral.
Working closely with the founding directors to understand the company values and market positioning, Oracle presented several brand options for Endeavour Land & New Homes, in a choice of carefully selected colour palettes with alternative straplines, iconography and typography.
Endeavour settled on a bold emblem with a simple contrasting two colour palette, which has been used as a watermark across digital and print formats, a sans serif capitalised typography, and a bold new strapline, ‘Quality Redefined’. The use of the watermark and gold allows for specialist print finishes, when required, with gold foil and Spot UV used to highlight details on business cards and brochures.
Finally, we have just started working with furniture and interiors specialists, Lansdowne Goodman, to refresh and reposition the brand for the residential division, and introduce a sub-brand for its commercial interior services. We recently hosted a branding workshop with the whole team and are now working on some fresh and modern ideas to elevate their identity. Watch this space!
